At Arukah Wellness, we blend clinical therapy, trauma-informed massage, holistic care and collaboration with fellow practitioners to support healing, balance and whole-body wellness - Arukah Therapeutics

My Story

Carrie Kooyenga is the founder of Arukah Wellness, where clinical knowledge and holistic presence come together through a signature approach called Arukah Therapeutic Bodywork.

Carrie is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (Blackhawk Technical College, 2008) and Licensed Massage Therapist (Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy, 2015). She brings over a decade of clinical experience into trauma-informed, restorative bodywork designed to support pain relief, recovery, nervous system regulation, and long-term wellness.

Arukah Therapeutic Bodywork is a personalized, integrative style that draws from physical therapy principles, therapeutic and medical massage, injury prevention, and trauma-informed care. Rather than separating modalities, each session is responsive to the body’s needs in the moment—allowing care to deepen, integrate, and build over time.

Physical Therapy remains an important part of Arukah Care. When Physical Therapy services are provided, a licensed Physical Therapist completes the required evaluation and establishes the plan of care. Carrie then works under that plan as a Physical Therapist Assistant, carrying out treatment in collaboration with the evaluating PT. She maintains a network of trusted Physical Therapists and is open to coordinating with other providers as appropriate.

Carrie values a collaborative approach to health and works alongside Physical Therapists, medical providers, and wellness practitioners to support well-rounded, individualized care. In addition to her hands-on work, she creates natural wellness products and continues her studies in herbalism to support integration beyond the treatment room.

Carrie currently provides care at two locations:

  • Sweet Zen & Coffee in Delavan, WI

  • The Doctor’s Office in Darien, WI

Whether you are seeking Physical Therapy support, therapeutic bodywork, or a restorative reset, Carrie is dedicated to offering intentional, presence-based care that supports healing in the body and nervous system.
